Terms of Use

HomiLabs Tools · Last updated 27 September 2026

Our tools are free and provided as they are. Use them sensibly, follow any safety notes for the app you are using, and contact us if something goes wrong.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to the apps listed on tools.homilabs.org ("the tools") and to this website, provided by HomiLabs ("we", "us"). By installing or using a tool you agree to these terms and to any additional terms for that tool below. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.

2. Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the tools on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the tools except where the law allows. Apps downloaded from Google Play are also subject to Google Play's terms.

3. Fair use

Don't use the tools in a way that is unlawful, that harms or endangers other people, or that interferes with the tools or other people's use of them.

4. Advertising

Some tools may show ads to keep them free. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content of ads or for the products or websites they link to. See the Privacy Policy for what ad providers collect.

5. Content and credits

The tools' names, icons, artwork and text belong to HomiLabs. Third-party components are used under their own licences (for example, the Flutter framework under the BSD licence).

6. Availability and changes

We may update, change or stop offering any tool or feature. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

7. No warranty

The tools are provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, and features can depend on your device's hardware.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, HomiLabs is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from the use of or inability to use the tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Beam: Torch, Strobe & SOS

Additional terms for Beam · updated 27 September 2026

Flashing lights

Beam's strobe, SOS and Morse features flash light rapidly, on the camera flash or on the screen. Flashing light can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Don't use these features if you or people near you may be affected, and stop straight away if anyone feels unwell.

Use the light responsibly

Not an emergency service

The SOS and Morse features are a visual aid only. Beam does not contact anyone, and there is no guarantee that a signal will be seen or understood. In an emergency, always contact your local emergency services by phone first if you can.

Device differences

Adjustable torch brightness needs Android 13 or newer and a flash that supports it. Flash speed and brightness vary between phones.
